DNA can tell what diseases you have but it doesn’t tell you how it works because genes are switching on and off to adapt. This is called Epigenetics. There’s cross-talk between genes and the environment, and Dr Maarten Stapper learned that the problem is not with the genes and environment, it’s in the management.
A perfect example of these is a hive of bees where working bees and the queen bee have the exact same DNA but because the working bees feed special food to the queen bee, the queen bee is different. Furthermore special foods can change not only the physical appearance but also the mental state.
